A More Enjoyable Approach to Exercising

Many people struggle to keep motivated when it comes to exercising. I can strongly relate to these people who just don’t find going to the gym every morning appealing. So, as a summer intern for Enrichmond, I also took a visit to the Vita Course at Byrd Park. I was pleasantly surprised to see a decent amount of people, both young and old, getting a workout on the course. The 1 mile course consists of a variety of activity challenges including monkey bars, rope climbing, and more. Conveniently, much of the course is shaded by trees, and water stations are located throughout the course. And, even better, the friends group of Byrd Park is in the process of planting even more trees since some were lost in Hurricane Gaston. The Vita Course is definitely a good spot for both serious athletes and families that are just looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors.
