Planting Project Highlights
2020
Tree Plantings at Richmond Schools
James River Association brought us in to provide and help plant 60 trees to provide outdoor educational experiences for 6th graders at 10 local middle schools.

2019
Pine Camp Cultural Arts Center
Partnership with the City of Richmond, Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities
Multiple planting projects at Pine Camp to reforest portions of the property, change the landscape to mostly native plants, and create more outdoor classroom spaces for children who attend the center.
By the numbers:
195 trees. 950 perennials. 20 shrubs.
150 volunteers.
Ongoing: ProtoPath at the Science Museum of Virginia
Partnership with the Science Museum of Virginia, SpyRock, VCU Office of Sustainability
Completed the first phase of the ProtoPath from the Science Museum to Scott’s Addition. Beautified the new pedestrian/bike path with native trees, shrubs, and perennials to improve green infrastructure in a heat island.

Moore Street Playground
Partnership with Dominion Energy
Beautified a pocket park/playground by adding trees for shade, shrubs, and perennials for flowers.
