We are pleased to announce our second Earth Day Richmond Community Impact Project: The Manchester Flood Wall Trail Project!
In 2006 Enrichmond brought the Earth Day Richmond Festival to the reviving neighborhood of Manchester. We were proud to have been one of the first major festivals in the area. To continue our commitment to this growing destination, Enrichmond is introducing it’s second Earth Day Festival Community Impact Project: The Manchester Flood Wall Trail Project. This community based effort is a collaboration between neighborhood staples Blanchard’s Coffee Co., Blue Bee Cider, Camden’s Dogtown Market, Legend Brewing Co,. the City Department’s of Parks Recreation and Community Facilities and Public Utilities, and Enrichmond. Our goal is to repair and enhance the Manchester Flood Wall Trail through resurfacing and an annual clean-up effort. Volunteers will help repave and distribute stone gravel dust along the top of the south floodwall and James River Park trail system. Volunteers will work in teams to help improve the trail and level the walking path for park visitors. Parking for volunteers will be in Diversity Park near East 1st St and Hull Street near the Manchester Flood Wall. This service opportunity last from 9am til 1pm and offers the best possible view of any volunteer opportunity in the City!
