Chimborazo Urban Orchard- Apple Tree Grafting Workshop
Published on February 28th, 2014 by Enrichmond Blog Archive
Blue Bee Cider will be conducting grafting workshops throughout March to teach people how to make their own heirloom variety apple trees. Blue Bee Cider hopes that as more people know how to propagate and grow apple trees, Richmond can start to reclaim its cidermaking heritage. In these hands-on workshops, each participant will learn the ancient skill of bench grafting and go home with a grafting knife and two semi-dwarf (M-111) graftlings made from rare and heirloom variety apple scions. There is space available for classes from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Mar. 2, Mar. 16 and Mar. 30. $30 per person. One person per registration.
