Enrichmond, partnering with the City of Richmond Departments of Parks and Recreation and Public Works, The Martin Agency, Friends of Chimborazo Park, Blue Bee Cider, and Goat Busters announces the first 2014 Earth Day Richmond Community Impact Project- Chimborazo Orchard Goatscaping.
Following our successful 21st Earth Day Richmond Festival in Shockoe and our Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign last year, Enrichmond is thrilled to announce the arrival of Goat Busters to Chimborazo Park! Starting Monday, May 26th 40+ goats will be ‘working’ their way through our urban orchard site in Chimborazo Park. Jace Goodling from Goat Busters anticipates the process taking 4 to 5 days. If you have never seen goatscaping, love the idea of supporting our urban orchard, or just enjoy the thought of evasive kudzu being eradicated, please come out and see the goats in action.
Chimborazo Park is located in the historic Church Hill neighborhood of Richmond, VA near N 34th St and East Broad St. Our urban orchard is located adjacent to the Church Hill Dog Park in lower Chimborazo Park.
