Enrichmond Initiates Partnership with National Park Service
Published on June 1st, 2018 by Jess Maffey
Enrichmond is now one of a very small class of approved partners of the National Park Service. The partnership will focus on interpretative programming at Historic Evergreen Cemetery and bringing its residents’ stories to light. This partnership signifies our joint principals of preservation, commitment to historic public spaces, and passion in celebrating our shared history.
Enrichmond will work with our local NPS office – Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site – to preserve, protect, and honor the legacy of Ms. Walker through tours, research, and interpretative programming. Additionally, both organizations will combine resources to encourage park jobs and provide job training opportunities on the local, state, and national level.
We are thrilled to work with National Park Service and the Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site to inspire others through Ms. Walker’s legacy and final resting place.
