The Friends of Libby Hill Park, along with the Richmond Tree Stewards, Church Hill Planters, and the Church Hill Association, will be hosting mulching and clean up day at the Park on Saturday, June 9 from 8 – 10 a.m. Come help protect the young trees from the coming summer heat! Please bring rakes, pitchforks, and a wheelbarrow or cart if you have them. Coffee, bagels and homemade treats will be provided! In case of rain, the clean up day will be moved to June 16.
Join the Friends of Barker Field at their next meeting on Wednesday, June 13 from 6 – 7:30 p.m., where Officer Leinberger with Richmond Animal Care and Control will answer your questions about dog park rules, what to do in case of a dog fight, and other concerns regarding your pet. RVA BMX is hosting their USABMX Olympic Day on Sunday, June 24. This is a free racing event that is open to anyone, including beginners! Loaner bikes and helmets will be available at no charge, so come out and give BMX racing a try! Click here for more info.

Mark your calendars for the Richmond Area Skateboard Alliance’s annual fundraiser, Thrash for Cash, which will take place at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery on Saturday, August 11.
