Shockoe Stout Release, Sat. October 27!

Published on October 19th, 2018 by Jess Maffey

Join us on Saturday, October 27 from 11am-4pm at Brunswick Stew and Stout for the official release of Shockoe Stout, the 17th Street Market’s collaboration beer with Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery!

The Shockoe Stout is a drinkable fall beer, with a lighter finish then most stouts. The flavor carries notes of the Virginia fresh hops and red cedar included in the brew. It’s a perfect beer for drinking outside at a fall festival or around the fire pit. Shockoe Stout is a toast to the 17th Street Market’s bright future in Shockoe Bottom!

The beer is available in Lickinghole Creek’s Shockoe Bottom taproom and Goochland location, in local restaurants, and available for purchase in 16oz. cans at local retailers, such as: Total Wine, Ellwood Thompsons, Union Market, and Trader Joes.

At Brunswick Stew and Stout, the following establishments will have the Shockoe Stout available for purchase:

  • Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery (beer garden on-site)
  • Old City Bar
  • Addis Ethiopian (cans available inside)
  • Havana 59

A portion of the proceeds from Shockoe Stout goes toward the renewed farmers market at 17th Street Market.
