The Enrichmond Foundation would like to welcome Allyson Flinn, Enrichmond Grants Coordinator VISTA.
About Allyson:
My name is Allyson Flinn and I am a recent graduate from the University of Maryland where I majored in public health sciences. During my time at school, I worked as a supervisor at my campus gym, a risk manager and safety officer on my club lacrosse team, and a volunteer with Terps Against Hunger. While I went to school in Maryland, I actually grew up in the greater Richmond area. I am so lucky to be back in the area as the new Grant Coordinator VISTA at the Enrichmond Foundation. My background in grant research and writing comes from my time at UMD, as well as my time as an intern at the Maryland Department of Health’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau. I chose to complete my AmeriCorps service with the Enrichmond Foundation because I wanted to get a chance to give back to the community that raised me. I am not new to helping local groups in the community, as I have been a volunteer with many groups throughout my time growing up here. I have worked with the Blackhawk Lacrosse program as a coach, instructor and tournament volunteer, the Henrico and Chickahominy medical reserve corps as an on call volunteer, and at B.A.R.K, a local rescue dog shelter as a feeder. I am so excited to start working with the volunteer groups that the Enrichmond Foundation works with!
