17th Street Market Grand Opening
Welcome to the new 17th Street Market! We’re cutting the ribbon on the renovated market on Friday, November 30th at 5pm. Join the Enrichmond Foundation for a holiday-themed Grand Opening weekend, in conjunction with Main Street Station’s Illumination and Winter Market.
17th Street Market’s Grand Opening will feature ice skating, hot chocolate, live music, and twenty-two oak trees illuminating at 6pm. Enjoy drinks and dinner at a local restaurant along 17th and 18th Streets. After 17th Street Market’s opening, head up to Main Street Station to see Santa, a Tuba Ensemble, and aerialist performances.
Friday schedule:
4:30 – 9pm – Holiday tree pre-sales (pick up on Saturday)
4:45pm – Emerald Society, pipe and drum band, begins playing at Rosie Connolly’s
5:00pm – Ribbon cutting ceremony, 22 oak trees illuminate, ice skating is open to the public until 11pm
6:00-9:00pm – Weekend Plans, brass band, plays
6:30 – 8:30pm – Free carriage rides, picking up at Franklin + 17th St, next to the Enrichmond office
7:00 – 9:00pm – Fire spinners perform
9pm – Grand Opening event ends
Shockoe Bottom’s holiday weekend continues with a Winter Market at Main Street Station and Holiday trees for sale at 17th Street Market from 1pm – 7pm on Saturday and Sunday. Ice skating will continue throughout the weekend.
Come down to Shockoe Bottom to experience the new Market space and holiday festivities all weekend!
