Given the status of construction on the 17th Street Market, we have decided to close our 2018 event season early and postpone this year’s Shockoe on the Half Shell festival until Fall 2019. We have decided to do so in the best interest of both the attendees and the vendors. If you have any questions or concerns, you may direct them to events@enrichmond.org.

Virginia is for oyster lovers! Join us in the Bottom to celebrate one of Virginia’s most iconic foods. It’s our 11th Annual Shockoe on the Half Shell festival fundraiser on Saturday, November 17th from 11am–4pm.

Some of the area’s most popular restaurants and oyster shuckers will serve up every kind of oyster – smoked, grilled, roasted, fried, and on the half shell.

Location and Parking:
The festival will take place on the streets between 17th and Franklin St in Shockoe Bottom.

We will provide free Bicycle Parking right next to the festival.

Entry Fee:
$1 suggested entry donation to Enrichmond for Shockoe’s oyster fest. Enrichmond is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Your attendance supports Enrichmond’s mission to enhance Richmond parks and activate its public spaces.

Other info:
Feel free to bring lawn chairs – we’ll have a free Chair Check service to hold your chair till you’re ready to watch the band. Your four-legged friends are welcome – must be socialized, leashed, and please keep in mind the hot summer temperatures!
