Central Virginia Soccer Association
The Central Virginia Soccer Association (CVSA) is a non-profit, adult soccer league headquartered in Richmond, Virginia and founded in 1975.
In the late 1990’s, the CVSA partnered with the City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation, & Community Facilities to develop the Bryan Park Soccer Complex. Currently, there are five irrigated fields and a sixth in development. The facility is used by the CVSA, City Parks & Rec Soccer House Leagues, and Virginia Commonwealth University’s men’s & women’s varsity soccer teams, all three of whom partnered to complete the financing to open the facility in the spring of 1999.
Tenants have included the Richmond Public Schools, Richmond Kickers Youth Soccer Club, Veritas School, the Jefferson Cup, the Metropolitan DC – Virginia Soccer Association State Championships, and the Central Virginia Champions League.
The CVSA continues to lead the maintenance effort, with all contributions going toward lawn & turf care, irrigation, and equipment repair & maintenance.
