Paradise Park

Paradise Park is a pocket park located in the Fan District. It is enclosed by Grove Ave, Floyd Ave, and the 100 blocks of N. Allen Ave & N. Vine St. Entrance can be gained through alleyways on N. Allen and N. Vine. This unique classic modern architecture park was designed in 1968 by Williamsburg architect Carlton Abbott and completed in 1973. It holds two awards: 1974 Honor Award – AIA, Virginia Chapter; 1975 Urban Design Award – City of Richmond, Dept. of Planning. The Friends of Paradise Park have completed a mural project in 2009 and are making plans for year-round programming in the park.
