Is it time for Richmond to invest in a Skate Park?

A month or so ago I was in L.A. with a friend biking through Venice Beach. We couldn’t help but stop and check out the activity at a new skate park.  The diversity of people enjoying this sport together on a beautiful day was awesome to witness. And, it made me think, why don’t we have something like this in Richmond?

Ironically, when I returned to Richmond, I had a voicemail from someone about starting a “Friends of Richmond Skate Parks.”  There seems to be some real interest in our community!! Can we make it happen?
