Volunteers Needed! Richmond Dog Festival

Enrichmond needs Brew Crew, Green Team, and Customer Experience Volunteers that will help us create a fun, interactive event for of our guests at Richmond Dog Festival!
*Please note: The Richmond Dog Festival will feature lots of – you guessed it – DOGS! If you do not enjoy working with or around dogs, please let us know.

Saturday, September 29
12:00 – 6:00pm
17th Street Market in Shockoe Bottom
100 N 17th St, Richmond VA
Two shifts available for each crew:
Morning: 11:30AM – 3:30 PM
Afternoon: 3:00PM – 7:00PM
SIGN UP FOR BREW CREW
Brew Crew volunteers will help set up prior to gates opening, check wristbands and tickets for beer and wine customers, help pour beer and wine, and aid with breakdown and litter cleaning after the event ends.
SIGN UP FOR GREEN TEAM
Green Team Volunteers help maintain an upbeat and a pleasant atmosphere throughout the event. They monitor “eco-stations” throughout and make sure that recycling and trash are done right!
CUSTOMER/DOG SERVICE CREW!
There are several opportunities for volunteers to help out with specific activities at the Dog Festival. Please email Alan by clicking the link above and indicate your interest!
These positions include:
- Cool Down station: Monitoring and refilling water for hot dogs!
- Kids Zone: Monitoring the bounce house and manning the Kids Zone tent activities.
- Poop Patrol: Helping patrons keep the festival clean by handing out poop bags.
- Raffle: Facilitate our raffle by helping patrons fill out surveys and by giving out raffle tickets.
- Fashion Show: Our doggie fashion show will need some help with crowd control.

A volunteer parking map will be sent to each volunteer. For Brew Crew: don’t forget to bring your ID – if you do you will be transitioned to another volunteer opportunity. We will provide water and snacks.
For over 25 years, Enrichmond—a non-profit organization—has supported the City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities through citizen involvement, education, and fundraising. Bacon Festival and all the signature events at the 17th Street Market act as fundraisers for the Enrichmond Foundation and help move our mission forward.
